So far the video looks much better on my computer monitor than it does on my 52" 1080P LCD TV. Also, the camcorder ships with the video quality set to XP, instead of the highest quality UXP. However, the bundled software will automatically downgrade the UXP video files to XP quality if you want to write to DVD, and then you'll still have the higher quality UXP for future use. I've had this camcorder for about a week now and so far I am pretty happy with it. The one thing that really strikes me as odd is selling a HD camcorder, but not including a HDMI cable in the bundle. When setting quality to UXP it gives a warning that UXP video files can only be written to Blu-Ray, which of course makes sense. Playback of the footage recorded on a full HD tv via RCA or even component cables isn't going to result in good picture quality....

The software determines which parts of the image is sharp and then combines your images with only those parts, like layer masks. I have seen other photographers use the software Helicon Focus to take multiple images at different points of sharpness as you progress further back. But there are times, especially if the background is soft or non-existent like the photo below, where full sharpness seems to bring greater clarity (a bit of a pun) to the subject. Exploring objects closeup allows me to pursue my fondness for abstractness in trying to see the world around us in a new way. There is a special fondness for the abstract, whether in our everyday life or the macro world. Shallow Depth of Field (DOF) is great for isolating specific parts in a scene and having the remainder fade softly into the background....

EF is a proprietary standard , and Canon has not released the specifics as to how this communication between the lenses and the camera work....

After 3 weeks there have been flashes of greatness (week 1) but it seems like defenses in the past 2 weeks have really got a lot of pressure on Mike Vick. The Eagles Defense is not getting too much pressure on opposing QB's and their CB's are not lighting it up, probably because the rush defense is 30th. But if teams continue to figure them out it may be a long season for this team. The O-line cane be sluggish at times and Mike Vick is pressured beyond belief,when there is a chance for Defense to get shots on him they will. So there is no reason to pass the ball a lot and when teams do they really exploit their attempts to stop runs.
