No FM Radio with this version By B. Kilburn Just a note to make it clear that there are (at least) two versions of the Zen MX. One I bought for my daughter last Christmas because I had owned the previous 2 gb version of the Zen (looks identical)... It performed exactly as I had hoped and I listend for hours upon hours without problem. This version was the same price I paid for my daughter's, (or did at the time) looks identical to the regular Zen and is not obviously listed or marked as a different model than the regular Zen MX. This one does not have an FM radio. So when my 2gb Zen suddenly quit working (after at least 4 years of daily use) I figured I got my money's worth out of it and decided to buy a Zen MX just like the one I got for my daughter. The only ZEN unit available at this point is Zen MX SE (I chose 8GB) No big deal features AKA radio, video etc, Don't need. Credit card-sized ZEN MX with a stunning 2. Built-in SD slot enables you to access more media in your memory card.

The Panasonic, I feel, is a really good camera. After several adjustments in "manual" mode we managed to get a decently lit picture on the viewfinder (. the picture will not show up as bright on your tv). Poor lighting is a big problem with Digital Camcorders, so I was actually somewhat content... After a lot of research I narrowed it down to this and the Sony DCR-HC96 (in fact several online reviews compared these two as well). Unfortunatly I will be paying a 15% restocking fee now as we have decided to return it and go with the Sony. With all three lamps turned on in our living room, "Auto" mode showed faint images and shadows when not pointed close to a light source. Where this camcorder falls The colors are bright and crisp. It came down to price, which was better at Circuit City....

Now, the staff of Digital Photography Review (DPR), perhaps the world's foremost digitla camera resource website, has gotten their hands on a Nikon V1 (the upper of the Nikon CX cameras) for a hands-on preview. A few weeks ago, Nikon announced that it was joining the increasingly-substantial list of camera makers that are producing large-sensor, interchangeable lens, yet P&S-sized body cameras. As for the negative, despite having a sensor smaller than the Four Thirds or APS-C mirrorless, interchangeable lens cameras, the Nikon 1-series models are actually larger than these competing models.
