Nikon lenses on a Canon Body???
Cinevate’s custom-made Nikon to Canon EOS adapter ring will not only allow you to use all existing Nikon lenses on all cameras with the Canon EOS lens mount, but you can also now use the widely popular high-end Zeiss lenses (which have a Nikon... Now, the next question is why would you want to. Well, there are many people who believe that Nikon lenses are better than Canon lenses. Did you know that you can mount Nikon Nikkor lenses on to Canon Bodies. However, there is an important physical distinction to make between the Canon and Nikon lenses. On the other hand, most Nikon lenses have a manual aperture ring and a large sturdy focus ring. The newer Canon lenses lack an aperture ring and often have manual focus that feels like an afterthought....
Infrared photographs from Mexico and Argentina. Canon EOS rebel T1i and Opteka infrared filter.
Does anyone know which is the best Infrared filter to use? Opteka or Hoya?
I'm looking to get into Ir photography but I'm finding it hard to choose a filter. I'm shooting with an xti with 70-200 F4L, 50 F1.8, 17-55 F2.8 and 60 F2.8 Macro. I have step down rings and all but I want to find the filter that gives the best results.
The Hoya R72 and similar filters are the most popular because they block out almost all (if not all) of the visible range of light, leaving you with nothing but infrared light.
Samsung DVD-HD931 HDTV Converter Progressive-Scan DVD Player Review
As I write this review, the Samsung cost around $229 while the Sony cost around $129. I compared this Samsung HD931 player against a Sony DVP-NS725P (in my opinion, one of the best less-expensive, non-DVI output players). I chose the Sony because it's one of the few progressive scan players that have a 12-bit 108MHz Video DAC (Digital to Analog converter) - most others have a 10-bit 54MHz Video DAC. If you're in a hurry, I'll summarize by saying that it really is the best quality video output that you can get today from a DVD player. First off, I chose the best video output from each player. But it would not make sense to leave it at that, especially when the other DVD players cost at least a 100 bucks less. Obviously for the Samsung HD931, this is the DVI output (and I ran it at 720p as well as 1080i). As for the Sony NS725P, it was the component output running at 480p....
