I was thinking about buying the Canon VIXIA HV20 or HV30, but I need an AFFORDABLE video editing software that is suitable for a Windows PC and that can capacitate HD video.
Ulead Video Studio. That's the one. It's good. It's $109. It's HD.
But I am not sure about 24 frames.
Maybe you can convert your footage to 25p before editing!

What do I need to upload video from canon high-def VIXIA hv20 camcorder?
a firewire port on your computer... and a firewire cable. USB will not work. And a video editor that can handle DV and HDV - MovieMaker can't handle HDV unless it is the newest version... iMovieHD can handle HDV since version 5 (current version is 8).
